Innoviss and subsidiary MSM Security Service (MSM) have over 35 years experience preserving our national security. We have offices in Chevy Chase, MD, and San Antonio, TX. MSM performs federal background investigations for US Government Agencies, and we view background investigations as the "first line of defense" against potential threats to our national security. 

We are currently looking to hire an Associate Personnel Security Officer -Scoper - Nationwide. This could be Full-time, Part-time, and could be telework.  The details about the position are below.

Job Functions:

  • Processes personnel security background investigations information for completeness and accuracy before sending to the customer for determination of security clearances.
  • Reviews personal documents, Personnel Security Questionnaires, and other records to ensure they are accurate, complete, and in compliance with client's guidelines.
  • Uses knowledge of Federal Government manuals to ensure compliance with the customer's Statement of Work.
  • Contacts field investigators and/or subjects as needed to obtain additional information.
  • Facilitates follow-up with investigators when needed to ensure accuracy and integrity of investigation.
  • Reviews and evaluates investigator reports to ensure they are complete, accurate and timely.
  • Prepares final reports of Investigation (ROI) for various clients.
  • Reviews and executes actions necessary to complete cases.
  • May function as lead or supervisor to lower level employees on an interim basis.
  • May perform duties on multiple Federal Government contracts. 

Focus on Scoping:

  • Review the SF86 and case documents.
  • Identifies lead assignments by case type per the SOW and coverage requirements.
  • Uses Map Point to group leads by geographical areas and document scopes on the lead sheet.
  • Access and create scopes lines for each lead sheet.
  • Attaches the lead sheet to the SF-86, along with appropriate forms.
  • Forwards to the case file folder to the assignments department.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent
  • Ability to use MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook), Adobe Software, and a PC (Windows based)
  • Must have a security clearance in support of government work
  • Two years specific experience in either adjudications/case review required. 
  • Requires a minimum of three years of investigative experience or the management of investigations at the Federal, State or Local level.
  • Courses or certification in government security or PSI preferred.
  • Must have a security clearance in support of government work.
